Sound quality beats the AirPods Pro again with more life like timbre and tone than Apple; and it also adds more detail and readability vs the first Gen Momentum TW, with out losing the open and spacious soundstage of the first Gen. Sometimes I turn up the bass within the Sennheiser app just a little for quiet listening, and it remembers these settings when I switch to using them with my MacBook – the Sennheiser BT LE app will allow you to control the EQ and settings out of your iPhone whereas listening with your MacBook if it’s worthwhile to make adjustments.
Equalizer settings via the Sennheiser app do not introduce any distortion that I have seen, and you should use two different interfaces to EQ the sound, depending on which way is easier for you – a single slider to get a curve, or 3 sliders for bass, mids, treble. I’d wish to see a ten band EQ, but there aren’t sufficient flaws in the sound to need that nice of tuning.
Conclusion
Overall, the Momentum True Wireless 2 is a superb possibility for music and telephone calls, having added sidetone (your voice) when on a telephone name, which Momentum TW 1st Gen would not have.
