Sound quality beats the AirPods Pro again with extra life like timbre and tone than Apple; and it also adds more element and readability vs the 1st Gen Momentum TW, without shedding the open and spacious soundstage of the 1st Gen. Sometimes I flip up the bass within the Sennheiser app just a little for quiet listening, and it remembers these settings when I change to using them with my MacBook – the Sennheiser BT LE app will allow you to control the EQ and settings out of your iPhone whereas listening together with your MacBook if you need to make adjustments.
Equalizer settings by way of the Sennheiser app don’t introduce any distortion that I’ve noticed, and you can use two totally different interfaces to EQ the sound, relying on which approach is less complicated for you – a single slider to get a curve, or 3 sliders for bass, mids, treble.
