I have tried pretty much every VR headset under the sun. I was eagerly awaiting the launch of Oculus Go since the day it was announced. I didn’t meet my expectations.
It exceeded them!
It is friction-less VR at its best. I didn’t need a laptop or have to insert a phone to get started. Oculus Go is also very comfortable to wear.
I had a Samsung Gear VR and I returned it back because the phone kept heating up after using it for a while. I also had to keep taking the phone out to perform updates or check notifications.
Oculus Go has none of those problems.
For $200 there cannot be a better VR device. Oculus has done a great job!
Can you record the screen? If so how?
Full-resolution, undistorted, single-eye, full-layer-support 2D screenshots and video capture for VR apps are available through the sharing menu.
Will I always need internet connection?
You will need an internet connection to stream video and to download apps and games. However, once downloaded, many apps or games can work offline.
can ir play all oculus games?
You can actually. There an app you need to dl for your computer and the oculus go. It then streams your steam vr to the oculus. It works really good for dcs word and elite dangerous. And pretty good for several others. Though keep in mind it is still limited to 3dof and some games do not work with it(because they need a 6 dof head set like the quest)
