I connected it to my iPhone X, and whenever I press the “Bluetooth/Aux” button on my Soundtouch, it searches for and mechanically connects to my phone. I can simply activate a Podcast this way.
I exploit this as a single unit and didn’t need to be pressured into filling my house with the same brand of speaker for it to work correctly (Looking at you, Sonos).
For this to work, you do have to download the Bose SoundTouch App. I don’t use it to control the speaker, however it’s required to set it up.
